i know about UVB and all that... and outside wouldnt be a long time like 30mins to an hour or whenever it seems they need to go in. and i have basking spots with uvb for my animals. and with college my dad has agreed to take care of them while im there. im going to a local college most probably so i will help a lot. we are "well off" so money isnt really a problem. we had an iguana like 6 years ago. it was adopted and had problems we had it about a year. but we couldnt hold off its death for very long. sad but a very nice iguana. and i will adopt 100% over buying. i wont support those peope, :-). im no newbie to lizards grew up around them. my dad helps me a lot with them so it makes it a lot easier also. thanks for the concern and time to reply
:Sounds like you take good care of your lizards, one thing though the cage sound really good, 7 feet is a good height, but if your iguana gets larger than 4 feet it would be best to lengthen it on at least one side, say you have a 5 foot ig, make it 5x4x7? if thats possible for you, but if you have him out most time thatd probably be allright, although i dont know how he will react from spending the day outside then having to go into a small cage, so try to make it a bit larger, also igs should be in around 85 degrees in a cooler zone, so try to keep your room at that 83 you said you can make it. Do you need any advice on a diet? also, look at the post i wrote up a lil bit on the person requesting help for an iguana newbie, i wrote pretty much all you need to know.
