Really his tail isn't so long compared to some other iguanas I've seen. Your ig is fine! A female ig my friend owns has the loooooongest tail (it probably is a ratio as you mentioned). Sleestack's appears quite long in this photo but I am short anyway (5'2") so it could be misleading. I should measure it to see his ratio...interesting.
His color does change a lot. He has a lot of browns-- was never bright green even as a youngun'! His belly is bright green and that is about it.
