I dont think scolding while carrying myka is a good idea either, I would think it would make her more nervous and may associate scolding with carrying. I think scolding works well when you dont want your iguana to crap sowhere its not suppose to(for the sake of starling the iguana). Think of it this way...do you want someone picking you up and just carrying you off not knowing when you will be put down, where your going, or what is going on?
I dont usually pick mine up, but he has learned that to get from one end of the room to another to just jump on me and I am forced to drop him off to the other part of the room to avoid being scratch up. Like I suggested in another post...maybe you should get your iguana used to crawling on you by using treats, and letting your iguana choose how it wants to be carried around. Maybe they dont like fingers jammed into their ribs or stomach. Just my opinion thought...good luck

:Hi Everyone!
:Myka isn't very used to bein handled, as in picked up and carried around, so sometimes she still struggles. I have been scolding her verbally for it, but now I'm starting to think that maybe that isn't helping any? Is it possible that she is looking to cause a little upset? Should I just take no notice of her struggling and keep on talking to her like I was before? Thanks for your help! Wendy :)
