Grapes,carrots,squash,strawberries ect. are not native foods for Iguanas they are supplements for them in captivity because we don't have acess to all the stuff they actually do eat. Their mouths are designed for ripping and tearing then swallowing thier food. If you give them anything that can not be torn or teared by thier teeth you have to give them a hand. It also is in your best interest to have all your tools in case your Ig does choke you need a pair of tongs to get it out, could be your finger next. I had an IG once who bit some greens and a piece wrapped around the bottom of his chin and the other half was down his throat he couldn't seperate the piece and got freaked out good thing for me I just used the tongs and pulled it out.
