shedding is just part of an iguana growing bigger ... it can make them look kind of "messy" (like when people have a sunburn that peels ...) when an iguana sheds, it should be just a layer of dry skin that comes off ... it's itchy but doesn't *hurt* any more than it does when people have dry skin ...
but it should NOT be leaving sore spots!!! ANY sore spots should be seen by a reptile vet as soon as possible! igs can get infections that can very easily end up killing them if you don't get them proper medical attention ...
