Like Kate said, ask a relative or friend who is familiar with your igs to stop in and feed them atleast once a day. If you get a timer they won't have to worry about lights.
Leaving them like that is a BAD idea. Before you got the igs you should have been prepared to face these decisions. Its just one of those things you have to think about before you get your pet, a part of responsibility.

:I am going to hawaii for a week, i have a big room where i can lay down newspaper and let them roam. i plan on leaving a big bowl of water and feed them alot before i go. will they be ok? the petsitters out here charge an arm and a leg so i am going to try this out. let me know if i am wrong. thanks.
