I promise changes in kingsnake.com will be very slow moving. Jeff is very sensitive to making sure that his current communities will remain as close to how they are as possible. He cares very much about the kingsnake.com community and wants to be sure to keep it the largest forum for herps around. Company talk is fine, recommending things is how others learn about them.
This is something that has been worked on for a while and due to deadlines, there wasnt much notice. Also due to deadlines the whole area is not complete, the dust isnt settled and the tools arent put away.
Regarding fights/trolls/snerts, our job is to monitor these things. Threads may end up deleted in the event that they get really severe. Same with chats. We will keep things on topic, and if there is a disturbance in there, we will take care of it. Members will still have the abuse report as they have had all along. You can also reach any of the staff at their emails. The staff for this forum are PCFMeliss, PCFKiwi and myself. Our emails are below for future reference.

Hope this sheds a little more light for you...

:I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I believe perhaps Kingsnake could have done a better job explaining this in the first place. The "what has happened to Kingsnake.com?" link doesn't really do it for me. I probably just overreacted...and I do welcome the knowledge of other herp-lovers...it just seemed very odd and corporate how this all came to be. I realize you cannot really make any promises regarding my traffic concern...that may or may not be a problem. But, I am glad you addressed the censorship issue. So if I am understanding you correctly, you will just be holding up the policies so when people decide to troll or advertise or use profanity-- you will remove those posts. I would assume it is okay to reccommend companies when people ask where to get supplies. I know arguments come up now and then, although the iguana forum has been tame for awhile. Will those arguments be removed or will you let them work themselves out?
:Once again, thank you for your response.
