Jennifer...I'd have Spot checked out by a vet.& get prelimanary blood work done..this sort of problem can be early sign of MBD if not a bacterial infection If caught early MBD is totally curable. Poor Spot..sounds like his former
owners didn't take care of him at all!. Didn't sound like stomatitis because you posted he had the swelling on his neck too. Either way..I'd call vets in your area...describe the symptoms & see what they recommend.
