:I have heard similar accounts. You are right, sometimes they fixage on a female owner and believe she is their mate! If you cannot turn this behavior around, it is sometimes best to find a new home where his behavior will hopefully change for the best. Sleestack acted like this only once towards me (lunged at me with an open mouth at the plexi in his cage) This was a couple years ago. I lunged back at him and opened my mouth (the 2 of us stood there for a long time, mouths open, looking scarey with only plexi between us). Sure, you might think I was crazy, but I was trying to remain ALPHA! I eventually left the room after making some large arm movements and headbobs. I gave him an hour to calm down. When I returned, he was his old self and has never done anything since. You never know when he may try it again, so I keep my eye on him. So far he is just into headbobbing at me all the time (and constantly has seminal plugs) but no more aggressive nature. Whenever he headbobs at me, I pet him and kiss him (which annoys him) and he submits (closing his eyes). So, my theory is to keep him thinking I'm as crazy as him! I give him treats for his nice behavior as well.
