Mine doesnt have an enclosure and he's cool. I use the "yuck face" stickers that they used to give us in school and put it on everything poisonous so my iguana knows not to touch it. Its actually a nice greeting in the morning finding your iguana laying in front of your face or on your leg. Although you make a very good point about fire hazards. I have learned to shut everything off before I leave the house. You have to make sure the lights are very secure and cant fall or tip over or burn the iguana. Dont leave buttons, armymen, cigarette butts, or anything else on the ground or laying around. So you have to keep your room extra extra clean. Also watch what you leave as far as snacks and drinks around.

: or bitten GO FOR IT. Your iguana NEEDS and enclosure so that she/he is SAFE from dangers when you are not home or sleeping. As for sleeping with the iguana um many many ideas come to mind as THAT being a REALLY BAD IDEA. You could roll over and kill the iguana, the iguana could get spooked by a sudden movement while you sleep and react. Knocking over lights FIRE HAZARD. And belive me as a female NOT many (if any) women are going to share a bed with an iguana) I love our girl but ain't no way she's sleeping with US. BE PREPARED FIRST iguanas are ALOT oF WORK.
: : Get your mind out of the gutter =) What I mean is it`s so hard NOT to go out and get me a green IG! What I think I`m going to do though, which everyone thinks in the beginning, is that I`m going to let it freeroam asap- But what everyone else doesn`t think about is Where they plan for it to sleep! I`m getting a bunk bed in a few weeks.. was thinking of giving the soon to be purchased IG the luxury of the bottom bunk- I could "iguanize" it, with a special non-flammable mattress and UV light under my bed so that would double as a basking area for when I couldn`t take her outside. The food/water dishes would be beside the bed, and I could create somewhat of a "pen" around it- any ideas?? anyone?
: : I just HAVE to have an IG.. I give up holding out, since it would be freeroaming when it gets a little larger I figure I`ll save on the cost of a huge cage.
: : Just think, a 20+ year old guy sleeping in a bunk bed with an IG.. Oh the kodak moments..
