I think the worst thing you can do to an iguana is to keep the iguana cold.When they are cold they dont eat because they cant digest the food.
Inside my kitchen in Jakarta there was no sun at all but it was always hot so they used to eat a lot.

I really dont know how an iguana can become so sick!!!I remember when I bought Thorn and Shena in Indonesia, 2 years ago, I didnt know anything about iguanas and I didnt have time to learn because I used to work 10 hours a day and with the children and homeworks to do and ...well, you know what I mean...so I kept them inside the apartment, in the kitchen, eating only green leaves, without any special lights or vitamins or anything that could provide them calcium and they are perfect!!The VET came here 2 days ago and stated all my iguanas are just perfect!!I really dont know what his owner did to him that made him sooo sick!!

: I think all they feed them is plain lettuces and no true sun. I know someone that has a Iggy about 5 ft that had some of it's jaw remove because it got MBD.I told them to feed her more dark greens and to give a least 4 hours of natual sun every day.
