I let my male iguana free roam, and i wind up cleaning floors atleast once a day with lysol.
I may clean it more than you because I have a crawling baby in the house...but even you should think about this, and clean your floors atleast once every other day to prevent salmonella.
Just thought Id let you know this BEFORE hand.
Good luck!
Crys.
: Get your mind out of the gutter =) What I mean is it`s so hard NOT to go out and get me a green IG! What I think I`m going to do though, which everyone thinks in the beginning, is that I`m going to let it freeroam asap- But what everyone else doesn`t think about is Where they plan for it to sleep! I`m getting a bunk bed in a few weeks.. was thinking of giving the soon to be purchased IG the luxury of the bottom bunk- I could "iguanize" it, with a special non-flammable mattress and UV light under my bed so that would double as a basking area for when I couldn`t take her outside. The food/water dishes would be beside the bed, and I could create somewhat of a "pen" around it- any ideas?? anyone?
: I just HAVE to have an IG.. I give up holding out, since it would be freeroaming when it gets a little larger I figure I`ll save on the cost of a huge cage.
: Just think, a 20+ year old guy sleeping in a bunk bed with an IG.. Oh the kodak moments..
