update - Lizard's new vet

I took Lizard to his new vet this evening. He wasn't especially pleased to get a trip to the vet instead of his dinner, but he was good. He was alert, curious and active in the office. The vet let him wander around while we watched, so she could see how he moved and everything. She just did a basic physical exam (and I brought in a stool sample), and says Lizard seems to be in good shape. He's lean, and could add some weight, which I knew. But he's getting there. Three months ago he would only eat two bites of salad a day, and his appetite has gradually increased since then (except for a breeding season glitch), so he's getting better as far as weight goes. He's 37" STL, 11" SVL. Small, but hopefully he'll be growing quickly now that he has a more normal appetite. He seemed to be searching around her office for food (it was dinner time after all!), but didn't find any.

Lizard also got to meet (from a distance) the vet's female iguana. He gave her lots of very masculine head bobs. :-) All in all, we had a good experience with his new vet. I've submitted her info on herpvetconnection.com.
