I pointed a water monitor out on an episode of crocodile hunter, and the thing looked like it weighed 50 lbs! My husband said if I had one of those it would kill me! I've got a spot all picked out for an enclosure if I can ever convince him... Are you on the monitor forums too? I lurk there once in a blue moon to see what other's experiences with water monitor are.

He is not skittish, you can come at him slow or quick, and he is very active, unlike my iguana...sleep, eat, rest, rest more, crap, eat, rest, rest, throw things on the floor, rest, goto bed and rest, sleep.
