Lump on Iggy

Hi,
I'm about to purchase a 3 year old female orange 3 1/2 foot long iguana from some nearby people. She seems well, except that on her ribs next to her back left leg there is a cotton ball sized hard lump. The people are taking her to a vet to check her out, but does anyone here know what the deal with this is? I don't want to buy a diseased animal, so can you guys help me?
