I just dont believe in unnecessary stress by holding them. My bearded dragons dont fight being held so I hold them, my water monitor doesnt mind being held, so I hold him, but my iguana...if he wants to hang out on you...he will come to you. Pretty much at his own convience. Actually usually when i'm eating the good stuff.
