Thanks Jif, I thought I was the only one. Your right I would never use it as a substitute for its greens. I usually just give mine a small handful in late afternoon, kind of like a snack before he goes to bed. But the other day I put the greens out and before I left for work I put the pellets(soaked in water) out and noticed he ate the pellets over the greens. But since nobody else seems to feed them store food, I can only compare their preference to yours jif.
* John-Paul - I should of explained when I asked the question that i wasnt reffering to the canned food they sell. Sorry about that bud.

: Last fall I purchased a 4 year old Cyclura hybrid female from a private individual in California. She had been fed primarily Rep-Cal adult maintenance formula pelleted food. When she arrived she was healthy and carrying good weight. I kept her on this formula plus introduced her to fresh foods. I've offered the Rep-Cal to some of my green iguanas and they seem to like it and get a handful each evening. I've seen no detrimental effects. Of course, I wouldn't use it as a substitute for a good balanced fresh diet.
