i expect/demand ALOT from a vet (as well as from my OWN doctor!)

ok, that's great that the vet isn't very concerned about this "object" ~ BUT ~ if s/he hasn't managed to ease YOUR mind about it as well, then IMHO, s/he has NOT done their job ...

(if i rant + rave, i apologize, but this is an EXTREMELY sore subject for me ...)

and WHY would the possibility of an *abscess* OR some sort of "mineral deposit" seem to be an UNimportant thing to this vet??? that part right there has me clenching my jaws + muttering obscenities ...

i agree totally with what Heather is saying ~ tho i don't think it's "just paranoia" ~ that's prob'ly another whole long subject in itself involving parenting "instincts" and "getting vibes/signals" from out animal loved ones ....

bottom line?
find another vet and get a 2nd opinion!
Herp Vet Connection
put her in a nice pet-carrier in the back seat of your car and put a towel or blankie over the pet carrier so it's dark ... she'll sleep thru the car trip ... (iZ's specialist was 2+hrs away, one way ...)

keep us posted!
and very best wishes!!!

:) + :P
