I bought only yesterday Melissa Kaplan's book (Iguanas for Dummies)and she describes (page 221, chapter 21)small isolated black spots as fungal and bacterial infections.
I should have bought this book before but I didnt find it in the local bookstores and
I needed to order it from abroad!!

In James Hatfield's book he talks about a black spot disease. It is supposed to have been a fungal disease that was caused by poor husbandry techniques on ig farms such as keeping hatchlings in cages where they couldn't get off the ground and away from crawling in their own feces. According to the book since the farms have changed the way they do things it is rarely seen anymore.
