Poor diet and lack of light can make an ig a very dull color, like gray or brown. Of course, lots of igs naturally get some brown in them as they get older, some more than others. But their coloring will probably improve somewhat, and you'll see some green, as they get better food and some UVB light.

: is it just diet and lighting that would make them like that?
: they are about 2 feet long, had a very poor diet, lived in a 29g tank with just a regular flor. light to warm them
