...good care of it!!
Godzilla, my 5 1/2 years old iguana is also 50 ", he is a little bit small for a male but this size is all right for a female!Did she get direct natural sunlight?Perhaps that is the reason for her good health.

: Hi Everyone!
: I just got off the phone with the owners of the iguana I will probably get.
: She is just under 5 years of age and is 50" STL and has been fed a diet of romain lettuce, banana, mango, kiwi, oranges, and apples. Not the best diet, but not the worst! I will be feeding her following the Iguana Spot diet, should I just completely switch her over to the different foods? Or should I make the transition slowly? She has never been fed any type of animal protien.
: She comes with a cage that is 6ft tall, 4 ft long, and 2 ft deep, but she hasn't been in that since she was two because she outgrew it and has free-roamed the apartment without any special temperatures or humidity.
: She has an incandesant lamp, and that's all she has as far as lighting goes.
: When she was between the ages of 2 1/2 and 3 years old around Christmas she may have been gravid, but reabsorbed the eggs. She went off food for 6-8 weeks and they force fed her a mixture of baby food and crushed up rabbit pellets.
: The only medical problem she has ever had was she pulled a nail a little bit and it started to bleed, so they had her to the reptile vet. She also went to the vet when she was off food and he did blood work and everything came up fine and he said that she was very healthy. The vet says that this iguana is the tamest, calmest, and most personable iguana he treats. Which is nice! She will follow her people around the house and has been exposed to lots of different people, she likes women the best. Her owner makes sure that he rubs her back and chin and talks to her at least three times a day. The only reason he is giving her away is because he isn't home during the day and feels she deserves more than that. At my house, two people are home all the time.
: She was bought from a petstore when she was 6 months old, and she was only 9" STL.
: She is trained to poop in the tub, and is extremely tame. She eats right out of the owners hand.
: How does this all sound? I probably forgot things, but that's most of it! I'm really excited :) I will tell you more after we go see her!
: Wendy :)
