Basil so far hasnt been found bad for igs, but that doesnt mean too much wont cause any harm. Remember, even too much of a good thing can become bad.

Be reasonable and offer the basil sparingly. The ig may becoe too used to the strong good scent and taste of it and refuse other plant matters.

By the way, basil is excellent on pasta!
