I am sorry to hear about momma guinea pig. I know it is hard to lose a pet. Hope the last ditch effort works. I don't know of any GP sites. Just wanted to give you my sympathy. Hang in there.

About the diet controversy...Iguana03 found me a formula for figuring out if what you are feeding is close to the 2:1 ratio. This is because I don't follow any one diet exactly and I wanted to know if my basic diet was close to the recommended ratio. If you want I can email it to you or maybe Iguana03 will post it for everyone. However, I think that most people here agree on feeding the greens... collards, mustard, dandalions, etc. I also use the frozen green beans, only because right now there is no fresh in the stores. Sneakers isn't to excited with the fruits either. I haven't tried the oranges yet. Bought her one last night and I'm going to see today. Gave her a little piece of banana from my fingers yesterday and she took a bite from my hand. First time I've gotten her to do that. However, I don't think banana's are something you would feed on a constant basis. Maybe I'm wrong. No matter what diet everyone says variety is the key.

Again I'm sorry about momma, I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hugs, Joan
