Hi Jennifer, Welcome to the forum. Yes, I would like to know why the name "Spot". I have a couple of guesses. Was he named after the dragon the Munsters had under their stairs or because he had spots on his tummy from where he was burned? Poor little guy/girl. Glad to hear he's got such a good owner know.

I don't use newspaper either. This is from owning birds. The birds have a tendency to chew up everything in the cage and the ink on newpapers used to be poisonous. Don't know it they ever changed the ink. Paper towel are cheap or butcher paper.

Finding a vet who handles herps in another thing you need to do. Sometimes not so easy. Des, cirsisue, and myself have a "Herp Vet Connection" site. Just started and a little on the slim side, but growing. Also, we have links to other sites that list herp vets as well. I put the link at the bottom.

Everyone here is great and will help with as much as they can.
