In Reply to: Natural Sunlight...How many ig owners...(more) posted by Daisy's Mom on July 08, 2002 at 16:40:39:
They like to spend the whole day basking!!If I put them inside my apartment during the day they will try to return to the balcony to be in the sun again!!If I close the glass door that separates the living room from the balcony they will keep trying to pass through it until it gets dark ouside!!It seems that 12 hours a day of sunlight is still insufficient for them!!
: I am fortunate, we live in Texas, and getting natural sunlight for my ig is NOT a problem, even in the fall months.
: Are there owners out there that cannot expose their igs to natural sunlight at all, or very little? If so, have they experienced any health problems that you feel might have contributed to not being able to expose them natural sunlight?
: How do you compensate for not being able to give them the "real thing"? I know there are some great UVB lights available, but does not having the good ol' sun cause problems.....just curious.
