Jennifer...youre on your way! Good work..only a few things come to mind right off the bat.need a temp gauge in there..heating at night ?ceramic heater?..is paint fresh? ..how old/big is Spot? may need a basking shelf (with heat pad NOT heat rock as indicated by his burns) your bulb placement is ok..could be alittle closer especially if Spot is younger IMO ..use Zinc Oxide (silvadene) on his burns not the neosporin..unless he has some type of other
wound.When you mention strip light you mean like a Repti-Sun or VitaLight right? coated (vinyl?) chicken wire sounds ok..but Ive never tried using that (seems a little more abrasive than the regular hardware cloth cuz of all those intertwined threads) others here will be able to help you as well .lots of links to help you too!
