Dan...anything goes! check out Jen Swoffords website on cage design for some ideas pretty good ones.Depends alot on what you want..all wire, half/half, 3 sided wood-front wire cloth?, sealants, paints, heating,lighting?, basking shelves?,flooring, no flooring? screening? Ive tried that rubber-ize it on my galvanized hardware cloth...what a mess! So I replaced everything with VINYL coated 1/2 " galvanized hardware cloth. May even want to go with a 1" if your ig is bigger. Even tho its vinyl coated..ig can still get nose abrasions,etc..but less severe IMO. It is a bit more costly but relative when looking at furture vet bills...Check out Jen's site at :
