Oh yeah most people I know think it's crazy to keep, as a pet, a lizard that will get six feet long, take over your life, carve it's initials in your skin with those Freddy Kruegar fingernail, and may very well take a serious bite out of you. (Not to mention the pooping in the bathtub bit,...LOL!) But if you think its bad with an Ig wait till they find out you have SNAKES too! I'm with the others in that I keep what I keep for my interests, not theirs. During the summer I like take my Ig or one of my pythons out with me (not at the same time,...and no I don't try to scare people with them!) One of the places I like to go is to our local Petsmart stores. I enjoy talking to the people who come up to me and ask about them and I do my best to try to educate them as to why (or why not) they should keep igs or snakes as pets. Some people do get a little freaked out but I give them a lot of room and don't get close enough to really upset them. These are the same people who have a whirling, barking, furball on the end of a string, allow it to use the bathroom in the middle of the aisle, and turn and walk off,...and they look at ME weird!
