It may take a bit for the iguana to get back a pattern. As flavia says...the cage could of been higher, but for me...I would just put the cage on a stand to make him feel higher. My Iguana is free roam but he chooses to hang at 3-4 ft from the floor, but perfers to sleep a bit higher about 5 ft from the floor. He has options of higher places...just chooses to only use them on occasion. As for pooping on the platform persisting...I would grab the iguana in midstream and put him where you want him to go. Thats how I trained mine. Takes patients though.
