I have my first Active UV light too and I notice it flickers sometimes. This worries me as well since it was so expensive, but they do have a warantee through the company supposedly. Mine never goes off, but just flickers. None of my other bulbs have done this. I am wondering if it draws too much power with all the other lights and reptile gadgetry. I told my husband he cannot plug the weed wacker in on the other side of the wall/garage because it really makes the light go crazy....this is what makes me think it is a power issue.
