when iZ was a little squirt and *i* was rather clueless, i had a light set too close to the top of his enclosure ~ he'd never HAD a source of heat before *and* it was a pretty color so he went to investigate this wonderful thing ... which of course means he LICKED it ... he didn't know it would "bite" him!!! :(

it healed up fine and sounds just like Godzilla's ... (thanks to an emergency trip to the vet on a holiday weekend, antibiotics and being spoon-fed "baby food" for 2 weeks while it healed) ... it was just kind of a different color at the very end ...


soooooooooo ... again, to warn any "newbies" who are reading ...
it's NOT that igs are "dumb"!!! it's how they learn, same as little humons, they have to "get into" everything and it's OUR JOB to keep them safe while they learn + grow ...
