: hi i have two iguanas and one loves to drink out of a water bottle cap but the other one wont drink at all. i hope he gets hydrated enough from the wet collared greens and peas i feed him but if thats not enough how do i get him to drink?
Keep a large container of water with your igs at all times. My ig will sometimes splash (I use two rectangular containers) and then lick the drops that end up on the rim of the container.
They do drink -- you don't always see them.
As your igs grow, make sure the container grows, too. I used to use a little thing and now I use two large containers. I keep veggies in one (the stems) so they stay hydrated all day. Also, spray your iggie with water a few times a day. My ig loves it when you spray (gently) into his mouth with the water.
