: Well, Baby is a natural born traveler! He did great at the raleigh reptile show last weekend. Many people inquired whether he was up for adoption or not. LOL
: This past Saturday my 15 yr old son started his eagle project. He is re-doing the ampitheater at a large scouting camp not far from here, tearing up old boards and replacing them, chopping up rotted, fallen trees, etc. Anyway, it's back in the woods and we took baby out there on his harness for a little adventure. He loved it! He was really good about staying on my shoulder or head (in fact, I've now dubbed him my new hairdresser since I had three different doos within two hours!) and I could put him down and let him wander, on his leash, of course! I could tell he really enjoyed the sun and rummaging through the foilage. He would get to a tree and start to climb but stop at my shoulder level. Once he even jumped onto my shoulder! It was great. There were a lot of kids out there that were like "Is that thing real?" and I would let them pet him. I'm hoping he will become a people Ig so that I can use him to educate school kids, scout troups, etc. It's exciting to see him mature and mellow out a little.
: On another note: Mr. Z is going to the vet this morning for a check-up on his tail. I think you remember me telling you that it is growing in crooked and seems a little dry. We are going to have it checked for dry gangrene. I've found him a home too! He'll be "moving" in June after his new owner has the right set-up. He is a friend and co-worker of my hubbies so we'll be able to keep an eye on him.
: Last, but not least, for any of you that have seen my site, Whipster, our first rescue is doing great! I went and visited him last wednesday and he has gone from 26 inches to 40 just since last November! He is very tame and doesn't even try to whip anymore. His owner has done a great job with him. It's so rewarding to see these guys happy and healthy in their new homes! Well, I've blabbed enough. Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and that you have a great week. Later.....J
