In my opinion, a self-build cage cannot be beat. The ones you buy are never big enough, although CBD and some other cage builders do build some decent cages. The ones that are big enough are way too expensive.
I just built a cage measureing 6.5' high, 5.5' long and over 3' deep, all for just over a hundred bucks. That is impossible to do if you buy it pre-built.
If you build it yourself you will also feel as though you accomplished something good, even if you are not the greatest "Jack Of All Trades" in the world. It's not that hard to do either. Many people here will help you get it done too.
Good Luck,
John-Paul
.: hey guys,
: Right now i have a soon to be 1 year old green iguana that is being kept in a 40 gal long tank. But he is getting too big so i am buying him a new cage but i want this one to be permanent, one he will not outgrow. I found this cage from cages by design it is the second one from the top, the 5H x 4L x 2D one. I will be getting all of the same options available for it so it will look exactly like the on on the site. So please check out the link and tell me what you think. Will this be big enough for him when he is full grown?
