well, I didn't follow that schedule and Tarzan is very socialized.

There is no concrete routine to iguana taming, because of their variable personalities.

Personally, I've tried practically everything with the juvie I'm ig-sitting since around november. He just isn't a tame iguana, end of story. Or maybe its just his personality.

What I do, is let the iguana settle into its habitat for the first day or two, or until it eats regularily. Then you can begin holding it for a few minutes at a time, increasing the amount of time you spend with him/her as you see the iguana progressing.
Just be gentle and firm. Don't let the iguana win. I lucked out with Tarzan, and he calmed down very quickly. His only problem was comning out of his cage, and being a bit skittish at first.

Just hold the iguana, don't be abusive, and earn its trust. Whichever way works for you.
