Let's see...in 1997, I made 5 different nest boxes, and Vega$ rejected them all.
She laid her first egg in Adam Britton's hand, bunch more on her
heat pad (in her basking area), my desk, my bed, and my tum.
This year, I made her a nest box but her body chose
to resorb instead. I think the cause of that is the stress
from moving from an apt. to my house.
I have heard of some iguanas prefering the top of the box
to be open.
You may want to mke sure there's a nice warm area in her enclosure , like
a heat pad in case she chooses to lay somewhere else besides her box.
When she starts to lay, make sure if you have a bowl of
fresh water and some fresh food for her too. She's going to start drinking
and eating once those eggs are being laid. I would mince some green, puree
some veggies, and mix the greens with the veggie glop. Also, sprinkle in
some calcium and multivits.
In Vega$' 1997 section of her photo album, there are images of her
egg laying and her xrays (pre/post laying).
