I'd much rather have to give a course of probiotics to replace anything that was killed by the antibiotics than risk possible necrosis creeping in to an open wound. I'm sure that the hatchling ig I have that came out of a back room of a PetCompany missing a hand (I watched it literally fall onto the floor)wishes it had some antibiotics.
