Another first for Hoss and Me!!!!!!!

Well a couple weeks ago I posted that Hoss would finally eat with me standing in his presence and how cool that was. Today I have another proud moment to tell you about. When I got home from work today to give him his salad he basically leaped down from his enclosure to meet me and then dug into his salad before I could even set it down!!!!! I was totally shocked. Then for the funny part. After he ate a good portion of his salad I decided today would be his "Wheat Bread" snack day. I usually give this too him once a week because he absolutely loves it. Anyway here I am breaking the bread into edible pieces and he starts giving me that "I'm irritated with you" blow out of his notsrils. He did this several times but usually only does it when I handle him which I wasn't doing. Then I find myself talking to him to find out what his problem was. "I'm not bothering you bud", and more grunts I got.....Anyway I goto put the bread into his salad bowl and he kinda lunges towards me like he was going to attack or something but then I noticed him eyeballing the wheat bread. So I put my hand near him and expected a tail whip or quick retreat and to my amazement he started eating out of my hand!!!!! Boy what a great feeling. This is the first time in almost 9 months of taking care of him I've felt needed! Great feeling I'll tell you!!!!!!!!
