: I've been on the phone half the day, and found a junior high school for advanced students willing to adopt them all for the sciences wing.
: It's mostly lizards and birds that were seized and I think the kids will enjoy them. The two larger parrots are going to live with one of the biology teachers as they need a strong human bond to be happy, and will be brought in for anatomy and behavior discussions as needed.
: Students can take classes year round and the teachers work year round, so there will be no problems about who takes care of the animals over the summer. I hope all the animals will be happy, and I'm sure they will receive far greater care than they ever would have gotten at that store.
: Now I'm off to call local newspapers and TV news stations to try and get publicity on this. People need to know that they cannot trust pet stores for care advice, that they must do their own research before looking for the pet they'd like to get.
: Oh, this mess is in Clifton Heights, PA. It's about 12 miles from Philadelphia.
