And during the school vacations?
Do you think the teachers will personally clean the cages??Or the students? Most probably they will let the feeding and cleaning to some stupid and unsensitive employee who will hate the animals!!
Its very difficult to find employees or maids that really care for animals!!I paid mine double salary to help me cleaning the cages and she hates doing that!!She even uses rubber gloves to touch the turtles!!!(And I kiss my RES and my IGS!!I suppose she thinks Im completly crazy!!)

to do the cl employee dont animal: I think you did a great thing and am happy to hear that the petstore is paying for their negligence. However.................
: Not to sound negative, but is a school really such a great home? Who would pay for all the expensive pet supplies, necessary equipment, food, and vet bills? I know the educational system doesn't have any money. A pet store should be at least using supplies they had in the store. Hopefully the animal lives will improve, but some of those animals really don't belong in schools. Birds are all very social...I guess finches would be fine, but even parakeets are awesome pets that will be very social and playful if let out of the cage. Too bad the majority couldn't have gone to private homes, with a few going to the school. Hopefully no iguanas went to the classroom.
