I can certainly understand how you've felt being disconnected for a few days. Sort of a "Lost In Space" feeling! We were off for a few days in the summer but not by choice! Our "mouse" went screwy then stopped working & our internet provider well...it wasn't providing LOL It was during this time that our female iguana was laying her eggs and then prolapsed! (Ok, here's my confession & biggest mistake... We only knew of one herp vet & had tried him 3 yrs. previously & he didn't impress us at all.) So here we are with our baby's innards hanging out....no vet; no computer. Oh yes, of course, it happened after hours! We took her to the emer. clinic where they kept her o/n doing basic treatment (IV to hydrate & warmth) under telephone advice from a herp vet's asst. until we could get her to a real herp vet the next a.m.

Very fortunately for us & for Lightning I happened to know that someone I had chatted with before also lived in my town.....and phoned! This person checked up on the vets here & told us the name of the one that came the MOST highly recommended. (And suddenly my husband HAD to admit that the time I had spent online at night in reptile chat rooms wasn't so silly after all!!!)

Between this person and the wonderful vet we found thru their efforts.......we had our miracle and Lightning is healthy today (and spayed!). But I, admittedly, took time afterward to chew out Packard Bell and Prodigy LOL

Moral of this rambling: Get a trusted dr. prior to emergencies.........and never let your 'puter see you sweat!
