There are several other dangers to letting iguanas free roam. They will try to climb EVERYTHING, and could pull a heavy object down possibly hurting themselves. Not to mention the damage to any knick knacks that get broken, curtains that get pulled down and shredded, etc. Iguanas also (mine at least) tend to try to eat anything that doensn't eat them first. I lost my first iguana because he got out of his enclosure and ate a peice of cellophane that was in the bathroom trash can. Also, since you have two iguanas, the possibility of fights breaking out while free roaming unsupervised is great. Even if they are a male and female, the mating process is pretty harsh for the female, not to mention the fact that most of us here do not support breeding iguanas. I would recommend building them separate large cages, or if you must free roam, can you give them a room TOTALLY ig proofed with at least two of everything (basking spots, feeding stations, water bowls, hiding boxes, etc.) so fights are minimized?
Whew! Good luck!
