: Hello, I have a male Ig who is about 5 yrs old. His cage is adequate and currently in the living room. I will be moving to a larger house and am thinking about moving him to a garage or office. Will he recieve enough stimulation through this environment?
Although igs are solitary animals, they do need stimulation. Mine is alone most of the day upstairs, but I will run up and sit and read in the room, talk to him and turn on the TV for him a few times a day. He actually turns and watches it. His basking area is in front of a large window (he's a free roaming ig) and he is constantly looking outside. I don't think a garage would give him any stimulus and might be dangerous with car and chemical fumes in there.
