Okay so just call me the REPTILE wrangler LMBO. THis week (since Monday) we have been camping out behind our new house that is STILL not done (Id vent about that but this post would have to be deleted UGH). Well As we are cutting up a bunch of boxes my hubby goes to toss them onto the fire when just as one lands on the fire he grabs it out again, As it went into the air he saw the snake tail and wasnt about to let the poor snake get burnt to pieces. SO he grabs the little gardner (sp) snake out of the box checks and its now empty. We all pet it and I get pics (ill post them later) and then he takes him over to our newly bought woods (we just bought hte woods beside us) so we know he will live there safely forever, and let him go.

Flash to yesterday when we are driving down a HIGHWAY into Mansfield (big town around here lots of traffic lots of accidents type streets) when Jason points out a turtle in the road. Well with a semi right on our butts we had to keep going first turn around Jason does a quick turn and we head back. Well at this point the light on our street is red but the dingy turtle is going down the OTHER direction in the MIDDLE of this street with cars flying by. So SUCKER that I am looks for a clearing RUNS out into the main highway grabs this turtle by the back shell (HUGE turtle) with some great size legs/claws (was a land turtle of some sort) and a HUGE mouth that was DOING its DARNDEST to eat the big mean monster that was stopping it from going where ever he was going lol. So I grab him by the back of the shell watching that MOUTH and run back across the half highway to our van where the lovely turtle decides to get me back not once, not twice but THREE times and pees on me three times. NO boxes, three kids in the van and only way to stay safe from those jaws was to hold him by the back of the shell (didnt make him happy). Had I had a big box id have packed him home to the woods by our house where all wildlife is protected from hunting and theres very little traffic but being that I didnt we took him about 10 mins away to a side street and a woods where I walked him in a ways and let him go. THen proceded to go pick up the new rider mower hubby bought go to wal mart and through mc donalds drive in SMELLING like turtle pee .

SUch an eventful couple of days and thats just hte REPTILE related portions, we are going back tomorrow for more camping LMBO

IM SUCH a SUCKER when it comes to animals.
