What's terrible about that situation is that just because that iguana was lucky enough to make it to such an old age despite it's diet, the owner is likely going to stay ignorant to the facts about proper diet. You know, his argument will be "I feed my iguanas animal protein and he's as healthy as a horse", which as we know is pure luck really.

: It has been a free roamer since it was very young, and it has a horrible diet. Dog food, animal protein, all the stuff we hate to see iguana eat. We have been telling him for a long time that he needs to change his husbandry...
