I bought a powder made especially for Herps, called "Herpcare"...it's supposed to have an appetite stimulant (I never believe the packages).

I compared it to pedialyte...this stuff has a LOT of calcium, and other vitamins the pedialyte doesn't have.

He won't let me open his mouth, but he licked some of this stuff from a syringe.

He's a little tuff guy, and a fighter.

There was another iguana at the store who was stronger than this one...but he died today. I started soaking him in the pedialyte, but I think it was too little too late.

I'm really glad I brought this guy home. I'm sure he'd have been dead this morning if I'd left him there.

Iguanas are cool and all, but I wish pet stores would refuse to carry them. These ones had been there for at least a month. Everyone knows how big they get, so no one buys them. They basically sit there in improper conditions...until the inevitable happens.

Well, there's only one left. He's pretty tough, and gobbles up the mixed veggies we add to the food every day. Hopefully a kind soul will get him out of there and take him home.

But I'm sure then there'll be more....

My little guy's now being housed in a 2.5 gallon inside the 30 gallon skink cage, on the under tank heat pad area. I'm hoping tomorrow he might try some greens...but I'm just happy he took a little of the vitamin water today!

Well, time to mist them and go to bed!
