Cough OR burp??

Since you have just moved and there's a change in temp & humidity, I would agree that you should keep an eye on things lest this is the beginning of an URI.

But are you sure it was a cough? Could it have been a burp? I ask because I've heard and seen both of our burp. If you see them do it, the mouth is wide open and the sound that comes out is sort of like a cough with a sort of "honk" mixed in. The first time it happened the vet informed that "no, iguanas cannot burp; they don't burp---what you heard was a forceful expulsion of air" Well, duh, isn't that a burp???? Since then whenever one of them seems to be having some "bloatedness" I've burped them just like you would a baby. They seem grateful for the opportunity to forcefully expel this air LOL LOL If they burp once, I watch and see if they could use some help from me by putting him/her on my shoulder and doing gentle pats up and down the back and the sides. It doesn't happen very often either.....like the rest of you spoke of infrequent "coughs", it's been like maybe twice a year.

Just another idea to toss at you!
