My igs are always losing their nails climbing in their cages. If the finger is intact the nails always regrow.

When I bought Godzilla, my 5/6 years old ig, one of his fingers was VERY crooked. So crooked everybody told me to amputate it.It looked like it was completely broken, already separated from the bone. But I prefered to give a chance to the crooked finger and now it looks much better.

Thank you for all the info you gave me on my leafy greens...*grins*...it is really great to have so much help so quickly.
: I have a few more questions now that my iguana is home. I noticed that a few of his toenails are missing (totally missing I think) and that a number of his toes are crooked.
: Does this happen?
: Also, in his home, it is about 95 deg. where he basks and about 78 degrees at the coolest. My question is if his basking area ever gets way too hot while I'm at work, will he move himself down the temperature gradient?
: One quick question more...if I turn off his UVA/UVB and heat lamp off at night...what is the coldest he can get without causing him problems. If it gets colder than that, what can I do to keep him warmer at night without interfering with his needed 'dark hours?'
: Sorry about all the questions...and thank you all for your patience with 'iguana newbies' such as myself.
