The size of the greens depends on the size of the iguana. They should be about bite-size. If you're getting a baby, the greens should be cut up quite small.
I recommend you look at the Iguana Den to find out more about iguana diets. Besides lots of other diet info, there's a table there of lots of greens and veggies and how much of various important nutrients they have.

: Hi everyone,
: Today I am getting an iguana named Joey from someone who no longer wanted him, and I am trying to learn quickly...*smiles*. I bought 'Iguanas for Dummies' and am reading everything I can; however, I am still a little confused about the MK salad and the size of leafy greens. I know that the salad must be finely shredded, but how about the leafy greens? Can they be bigger? Also, MK mentions about alfalfa powder or tablets but never says how much to use (only that I should use less than other forms of alfalfa...1/4 cup? 1/8 cup?)
: Also, I find it very difficult to find good leafy greens for iguanas here in Canada. I found kale and chard...but definitely no mustard greens, dandelion, turnip tops, escarole, collard etc.
: People say that kale and chard should not be fed all the time because of the high oxalate content...so what can I do?
: Also, do I feed 1/2 MK salad and 1/2 leafy greens...and how much of each?
: I'm finding this 'proper iguana feeding' very confusing and I'm not a stupid person...*laughs*...I even have a biology degree.
: Am I making this too difficult????
: Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.
