Yes, the light does affect your iguana's health. You shouldn't have any lights on in his enclosure at all after dark. 12 on 12 off.

I work nights and now i am on my weekend and it is 230am would the lights in the house being on mess up my iggys day/night cycle? granted his room is not light like day time but the lights do afect it a little.
